A-Player Search is a retained search firm offering unique services to its clients,
both employers and candidates. As a candidate, you can anticipate an exceptionally
thorough review of your credentials and experience. High caliber executives generally
enjoy this opportunity to reflect on their accomplishments, key strengths and long
term career objectives. Below is a summary of the selection process.
Pre-Qualification
A-Player Search will contact you with the relevant opportunities that match your
career goals. Under no circumstance will your information be shared with a potential
employer without your consent.
The first conversation with one of our consultants will determine your fit for
a specific position and gauge general interest. An appointment will be set for an
in-depth interview by phone or in person. Plan on two to three hours for this opportunity
for us to thoroughly understand your strengths and experiences. We will also seek
to understand your compensation requirements.
Assessments
If there is mutual agreement to proceed, you will be asked to submit references
and take a variety of test batteries, both online and in person. These test measure
a candidates' intellectual, analytical and, if relevant, mechanical abilities. Additionally,
personality factors and management styles are ascertained to identify suitability
for the position and the employer. Pending reference checks and test results, a
first interview will be scheduled with the employer Human Resources and with the
senior hiring managers.
Interview Preparation
An A Player consultant will provide you with the key information you will need for
your interview. If a second round of interviews are required, additional information
will be provided as appropriate.
Post Interview Follow Up and The Offer
Your consultant will follow up with you and each of your interviewers for feedback
and, at that point, the next step will be determined. Details of the offer will
be discussed with you in advance of a written offer to ensure that every question
you have is answered prior to acceptance of the position.
Post Placement Reviews
Congratulations! You are an A player and you have been hired! Our relationship does
not end with your successful candidacy. Your A-Player Search consultant will follow
up with you at 30, 90 and 180 day intervals to ensure the on-boarding process is
going well. If necessary, we will provide feedback to the company to assist in any
transition issues.
We look forward to working with you.
